This programmes aims to develop highly knowledgeable and skilled Graduate /Diploma nurses with the knowledge base to be able to function at an advanced level and to develop into expert or and take up administrative and managerial positions within the Health sector or educators within their particular area of expertise. The emphasis is upon the application of knowledge to practice, thus enhancing the leadership capacity of graduands. The graduates of this postgraduate programme are expected to have a widespread beneficial influence on the quality of patient/client care through enhancing evidence-informed practice. Their development in relation to research and theory will vary according to the academic award (Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Management) achieved. The programme is relevant to those who may be considering roles in leadership, advanced practice, management, professional education administration, or practice development.
Entry Requirements
A Diploma/Degree in Nursing studies from a recognised institution or university.
If you are more than 21 years old but did not complete 12 years of pf education you may also apply with your work experience
For students whose first language is not English an IELTS band 6.0 or above is required
THE PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
This is a full time programme run over 43 weeks. The Programme includes a 30 weeks work placement in the Health and Care industry. These positions are found by the College and are monitored by course tutors You will experience practice in both hospital and community settings. . The placements may be situated anywhere in the UK. Students can expect a gross salary minimum £220 for 40 hours of work per week.
