Pre- Sessional English Course

Some migrants may need to do a pre-sessional English course immediately before starting their full-time course of study in the United Kingdom. A pre-sessional English course will be an intensive English Language course or any other short course which prepares a migrant for his/her main course of study in the United Kingdom. The pre-sessional English course must meet the full requirements of the relevant Tier 4 category in respect of the level of the course, but it is not necessary for the course to lead to a recognized qualification.

We at Bliss College constantly strive for the highest levels of achievement from both our staff and our students. To ensure that any student studying at Bliss College can gain the most from there time here. Because of this commitment, Bliss College UK provides pre-sessional English classes for students to enable them to get the most out of their chosen course of study.

Q. Will students require separate Confirmations of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) or Visa Letters for a pre-sessional course?

A. Where a Tier 4 student will attend a pre-sessional course prior to starting their main course of study, they may be able to apply for a single grant of leave, if:

the pre-sessional provider is the same as the provider for their main course;
or
the pre-sessional provider is named as a ‘branch’ on the main provider’s Sponsor license;
and
the student’s main course of study is not conditional upon them successfully completing the pre-sessional course.

Application

Students are pre-assessed before being issued with acceptance to study at Bliss College UK, and based on the results of the pre-assessment test will be given the opportunity to attend our English classes if their level falls below that required for their course. We offer English tuition from an approximate equivalent of IELTS level 3.0 upwards.

Classes

Classes will focus on both fluency and accuracy in all the major communication skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. These classes are presented by highly skilled and qualified teachers using the most up-to-date English language presentation techniques, and will not only enable them to effectively follow a course of study at Bliss College, but will also enable them to make a more effective transition into life in an English speaking country.
