Induction Training Programme:

There is a 62% turnover of care staff in private sector Nursing Homes and Residential homes which can result in high costs for Induction Training, this is in addition to high demands made on management time.

Bliss College ‘Induction Training Programme’ will be held on a continual basis at our Ilford training centre.

The Standards to Care include:

  • Understanding the Principle of Care
  • Understanding the Organisation and Role of the Care Worker
  • Maintain Safety at Work
  • Communicate Effectively
  • Recognise and Respond to Abuse and Neglect
  • Develop as a Worker

Sessions will be held alternate weeks consisting of 3 full days. Participating homes will be able to send their staff to any of the sessions for which their staff requires induction.

The advantages of the ‘Induction Training Programme for Care Staff’ are that it is potentially much more cost effective than the traditional methods of training these units. Secondly, and equally important, it will result in flexibility in managing your staff off duty as it enables training to be spread out allowing staff to be trained when it is convenient to you. Finally, new staff can attend with no limit to numbers.

The cost of the ‘Induction Training Programme for Care Staff’ is an annual fee of £469 + VAT per home.

The only requirements are that we are provided with a current list of staff and details of any new staff joining which will enable us to ensure that we provide you with a training dates and details of staff who will be attending for training.

In addition to the 'Induction Training Programme for Care Staff’ we will continue to provide training in Managing Dementia, Managing Violence & Aggression, Safe Record Keeping, Safe Administration of Medication and Train the Trainers.
