What are the admission procedures?

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

This section describes the process that students need to follow to gain admission with Bliss College -UK.

Applicants applying from outside the United Kingdom
 
To register with Bliss College, There are different options available:
   
Apply In Person or Planning a Visit
 
Complete an Application Form (you can also apply online at http://www.blisscollegeuk.com/application.php Attach or email copies of your Education Credentials and evidence of English ability, which must be verified by the British Council in your country.
 
Attach a copy of a bank statement showing approximately £10,000 in your bank account to cover first years living expenses and tuition fees.
 
Pay £50 Registration Fee (Non Refundable) payable on acceptance of your application.
 
Please note we cannot process your application unless you have sent us all required documents.
 
Upon receipt of your duly completed Application Form together with the required documents the Admissions Officer will carefully consider the eligibility criteria for your chosen study course and contact you for further information. If you meet the entry requirements you will then be emailed a letter confirming your provisional acceptance; and will then be requested to pay a non-refundable registration fee of £50. You will also be required to pay in advance full tuition fees for your chosen course for the whole year.
 
To accept your place we will need to hold a person-to-person interview, which will normally be done via Skype. Alternatively the Principal of the College or International Recruitment Director may conduct interviews during his business visits to your country.
 
After payment is received you will be considered as a eligible full-time overseas student at Bliss College and we will then send the normal course confirmation documents, but instead of a visa letter we send you the CAS reference number, which you must quote on the visa application, when applying for a Tier 4 General Student Visa at the British High Commission abroad.
 
As from 22nd February 2010 visa letters is no longer valid and electronic Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) system will be used instead.

Applicants applying from inside United Kingdom
 
REGISTRATION ON THE COURSE

Candidates must complete the application form and return it to the School, together with the following:
 
1. Two passport size photographs
2. Certified photocopies of qualifications
3. Evidence, where applicable, of work experience
4. A non-refundable registration fee (see fee schedule)
 
You are advised to read the following School Regulations before returning the completed Application Form. All students must:
 
1. Attend classes regularly as time-tabled. A minimum of 85% attendance in each unit is required. If attendance falls below this mark, without a valid reason, students may be suspended, not permitted to take examinations, or both.
2. Students must be punctual. Persistent latecomers are likely to be suspended.
3. On certain courses, recommended text-books are supplied by the School. On other courses, it is the responsibility of the student to provide his/her own stationery and books. Purchase of course text books should be regarded as an essential ingredient of academic success.
4. It is the responsibility of students to ensure that they become members, where necessary, of appropriate external examining bodies and register for examinations in good time. Membership and examination fees is payable by the student directly to the appropriate exam body.
5. The School reserves the right to amend/cancel a course without prior notification.
6. Students are expected to behave in a responsible manner, both on and off the premises. Failure to do so may result in suspension from the School.
7. Unless prior arrangements have been made, overseas students must pay tuition fees before commencement of the course.
8. Overseas students who have spent at least one year as students in the U.K may pay their fees in three equal installments, provided:
 
1. A surcharge of 10% on the full fees is paid with the first installment and
2. The second installment is paid prior to commencement of the second term.
   
 
The School expects all fees to be paid on time. Failure to comply with this regulation will result in suspension without notice and your name being struck off the register. On suspension, the appropriate authorities will be informed of this action.
  If fees are not paid in full, the School reserves the right to retain your original Qualification Certificate until such time as the debt is paid. The School will also apply to the courts to recover any outstanding sum, including costs incurred for recovery.

  Requests for change of course will not be entertained once you have accepted an offer
How to Apply for my visa from Abroad
 
Make an appointment with the British High Commission and take the following documents to your appointment:
 
Passport
Letter of enrolment / Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS)
Educational Certificate(s) e.g. Bachelor, Diploma and Transcript or Records.
IELTS certificate
The College prospectus and course details
Your own bank statement or parents bank statement along with evidence that he/she is related to his/her parent(s)/legal guardian and that the student has his/her parent(s)/legal guardian’s permission to use this money.

We can put you in touch with immigration counselors if you can not do Visa extension Application by yourself who will advise on your application for an extension to remain in the United Kingdom but, as we are NOT Solicitors/ lawyers/ OISC registered member, we can't offer any Immigration advice.
